We are currently looking for a Project Manager / Project Coordinator for our office in Mechelen or Nivelles, but you will be working on projects in the area of Leuven, Belgium.
As a Project Manager, you will be involved in projects ranging from small upgrades to large industrial constructions. Your responsibilities may cover different phases and/or specialties, including:
* Project Feasibility: Process description, plant layout, master planning, procurement strategy, financial plan.
* Project Preparation Phase: Investment analysis, basic engineering, permitting, financing, and procurement.
* Project Execution Phase: Project management, detailed engineering, construction management, commissioning management, and operational management.
What Does the Role Involve?
Within the EPCm organization, the Project Manager maintains constant communication with the client and acts as a coordinator for all EPCm functions, including organization, safety, progress reporting, scheduling, cost management, risk management, document control, quality control, multidisciplinary technical consistency, construction contracts, on-site execution, and commissioning preparation.
With strong communication skills, the Project Manager manages engineering interfaces with design offices, ensuring consistency between conceptual designs, detailed studies, and supplier specifications. He/She understands the intricacies of site work execution and assembly.
Each role evolves based on project needs and may also involve participation in the acquisition of new projects and ad-hoc bid preparation.
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering or relevant professional experience in EPCm projects, particularly in large-scale civil construction projects.
* A background in Civil or Structural Engineering is a plus.
* At least 2 years of relevant experience in a project-based environment.
* Proficiency in French or Dutch (spoken and written) is essential, with English as a second language.
* Strong client focus and excellent communication skills.
* Creative and flexible, results-oriented, a team player who can also work independently.
* Strong management skills and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, BIM Navisworks, BIM 360, or other project management tools is a plus.
* PMP, PMO, or other relevant certifications are considered an asset.
* Valid driver’s license (Category B).

Requirements
Degree OR master’s in industrial engineering, Civil engineering or Technical Architect. 2-5 Years of experience in similar positions Experience on complete life cycle of a civil project: master planning, feasibility, permitting, civil works and main infrastructure needs, contracting and construction management and supervision Feeling comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion. Competences MS Office, office package, BIM and AI. Languages: Spanish, English and French. Other is a plus. National and international mobility depending on the project.
