We are currently looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join a major industrial project in Belgium.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, optimization and implementation of industrial processes within a highly regulated environment, ensuring safety, performance and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and optimize industrial process solutions
* Perform Heat & Mass Balance calculations
* Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
* Define process equipment specifications and support equipment selection
* Size process lines, piping systems and associated equipment
* Participate in HAZOP, HACCP, FMEA and other risk assessment activities
* Support engineering, construction, commissioning and start-up activities
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements
Requirements
* Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Engineering
* Experience within SEVESO and/or ATEX environments
* Strong knowledge of Heat & Mass Balances
* Experience developing and reviewing PFDs and P&IDs
* Experience in equipment and piping sizing
* Participation in HAZOP and process risk assessments
* Experience supporting industrial projects from design through commissioning
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
* Experience in thermal processes or pyro-processing
* Experience in chemical, pharma, food, metallurgy, energy or similar industries
* Knowledge of BIM and 3D coordination environments
* Experience working within strict engineering documentation processes
