Compliance & Privacy Specialist (Sao Paulo)
Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil
Overview
The Compliance & Privacy Specialist is responsible for the operational success of TransPerfect’s Compliance & Privacy Programs; ensuring successful completion and delivery of regulatory, statutory or other requirements, as an independent specialist supported by the Compliance and Privacy Team Lead/Manager and the Compliance and Privacy Officer, DPO.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership and handle all DSR requests, overseeing deadlines, outstanding requests, communication and assignment of required tasks.
* Lead investigation and drafting of DSAR.
* Monitor and research new or updated relevant regulatory or other requirements.
* Manage stakeholder communication around Compliance and Privacy and handle questions such as RFP from clients, sales and management.
* Participate in internal audit activities (coordination, interviews, reporting and follow‑up activities) as part of the internal audit team.
* Travel as needed or work in different time‑shifts to support global clients and colleagues.
* Innovate for continuous improvement in internal processes.
* Apply thorough project management skills, working effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals.
* Collaborate as a team player with a flexible and creative approach.
* Analyze and adopt/implement new requirements, programs and technology related to compliance and privacy such as request‑tracking systems.
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in native language and English, with attention to detail and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
* Exhibit exceptional problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills and strong MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant compliance and privacy area with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant compliance and privacy area with lawyer certification in a relevant specialty and/or certifications such as CIPP or CIPM.
* Experience working with a high‑performance, collaborative, constructive peer group.
