As an Operational Excellence Manager you support the overall operations with structural improvements and help transform the plant into a Lean production environment.
You will work as an Expat in our Malaysian plant. You’ll get the chance to grow into your role, initiate and develop new ideas and challenge the status quo. The responsibilities of an Operational Excellence Manager are the following:
1. Together with the Plant Manager and Department Managers you identify opportunities.
2. You define various projects with stakeholders, set milestones, coordinate and lead them until implementation and handover.
3. You support the overall operations with structural improvements and help transform the plant into a lean production environment.
4. You define various projects with stakeholders, set milestones, coordinate and lead them until implementation and handover.
5. You develop organizational capabilities in lean and operational excellence, support and coach the business functions.
6. Through the use of Lean principles and best practices you are able to improve our operational performance in, and not limited to: line stop registration + efficiency improvement, structural safety & quality problem solving process, labour & energy efficiency improvement, direct & indirect material usage, …
7. You lead and facilitate Hourly and Daily Accountability board escalations and coach different departments to streamline information flow and problem solving. You determine the right SMART KPI’s, set ambitious targets and meet them.
8. You collaborate across plants and regions, support cross-site improvement initiatives, share best practices, and align operational excellence standards.
9. You are part of the local plant management team
YOUR PROFILE
10. Strong people manager with clear strategic view to set and coach an organization in the best possible structure.
11. Interest in broad operational/business understanding.
12. You have minimum 2 years experience in a production environment.
13. Result oriented: converting analysis into tangible results in line with business targets.
14. Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the different stakeholders, from shop floor to management.
15. Ability to help teams prioritize ideas, distilling them into actionable delivery plans.
