Your Role
As a Quality Engineer, you play a key role in safeguarding product quality and ensuring robust quality risk management across laboratory operations. You translate automotive quality standards into practical, effective processes and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you combine hands-on laboratory leadership with analytical problem-solving and quality system expertise in an automotive environment.
Your Responsibilities
* Coordinate and lead daily laboratory activities, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely testing and product release.
* Optimize laboratory workflows and testing processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and data reliability.
* Implement and monitor quality improvement actions, following up on deviations and non-conformities.
* Prepare and support internal, customer, and certification audits, including execution of MSA studies.
* Analyze quality data using SPC, Pareto analysis, and structured reporting with full traceability.
* Manage calibration systems and contribute to projects such as laboratory automation and contingency planning.
* Coach and support the laboratory team, including training, task distribution, and performance follow-up.
* Use SAP to manage material flows, test requests, quality records, and reporting.
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify root causes and lead problem-solving using 8D methodology.
* Drive KPI-based improvements and actively promote a culture of continuous improvement.
