ELECTRONIC ENGINEER - ROESELARE (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONRole OverviewAs an Electronics Engineer in the Product Development team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and validating electronics for commercial installation products used in building systems, automation, and infrastructure solutions. This position requires both strong technical expertise and collaborative skills, as you will work closely with external partners, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and compliant products.You will be responsible for supporting the full product lifecycle: from concept design and component selection, through prototyping and testing, to final validation and handover to production. In addition, you will engage directly with external partners to ensure technical requirements are clearly defined and met, and that design and validation activities are aligned with industry standards.This role offers an exciting opportunity for early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience in product development while contributing to the advancement of innovative installation solutions. It combines technical design with practical problem-solving and provides exposure to cross-functional teamwork, customer-driven development, and real-world validation processes.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with external partners, suppliers, and internal teams (mechanical, software, and manufacturing) to develop electronic systems for commercial installation products.Support system architecture definition, circuit design, component selection, and PCB development.Create and execute validation and verification test plans to ensure functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance.Troubleshoot hardware issues, analyze test results, and drive design improvements.Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and certifications (e.g., EMC, CE, UL, FCC).Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, test reports, and design review materials.Participate in design reviews and cross-functional technical discussions.Contribute to product lifecycle activities, from concept through to production release.Drive continuous improvement of design practices, validation methods, and collaboration processes with partners.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.0–5 years of experience in electronics design, validation, or product development (internships and graduate projects considered).Practical knowledge of circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCad).Familiarity with embedded systems, power electronics, or communication interfaces (CAN, RS485, Ethernet, etc.).Experience using lab equipment for testing and debugging (oscilloscopes, analyzers, multimeters).Understanding of compliance standards for electronic products (e.g., EMC, safety certifications).Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage confidently with partners and cross-functional teams.Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and project delivery.The Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
