The Senior Category Manager will lead the Dairy Products category within the FMCG food sector. This is a key role within the business, focused on delivering category growth through deep consumer understanding, shopper insights, and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and retail partners.
As a category expert, you will be responsible for shaping the category strategy, optimizing assortment and pricing, and driving innovation that aligns with our brand values and market dynamics.
* Own and develop the category strategy for dairy products, aligning with overall brand and business objectives.
* Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
* Lead range management, pricing, and promotion strategies to optimize sales and margin performance.
* Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Innovation teams to ensure seamless go-to-market execution.
* Collaborate closely with key retail customers, acting as the category expert and supporting joint business planning.
* Monitor and assess the performance of products and initiatives, recommending actions for continuous improvement.
* Drive innovation pipeline planning, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and commercial viability.
* Manage and mentor junior team members, contributing to talent development and cross-functional knowledge sharing.
* Minimum 7 years of experience in category management, trade marketing, or brand management within the FMCG food sector, preferably dairy or chilled products.
* Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable plans.
* Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Strategic thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
* Confident communicator and influencer, able to engage cross-functionally and externally.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
* Perfectly fluent in French and Dutch.
