Process engineer role is focused on implementation improvements to process and work flow of the machine included in the process.
Your responsibilities:
Manage activities of the production units :
1. Monitoring & support daily operations and problem resolution
2. Monitor daily critical process indicators.
3. Analysis of outliers and spreads and implementation of direct action
4. Support operators in their daily problems
5. Work as a team on recurring problems
6. Be responsible for the production in an area under your responsibility
7. Communicate in a structured manner (emails, analyses, templates) critical information
8. Achieve production levels collectively with the operator’s team
9. Participation to daily stand-up meetings
10. Redaction of work procedures (work instruction)
11. Be able to manage on call duties 1 time per 5-6 weeks
Improvement activities and projects :
12. Study production improvement and loss minimization projects with the relevant managers.
13. Analyse past performance and root causes of non-performance. Implement sustainable solutions as a team
14. Follow the integration of new digital technologies, supervise the testing and fine-tuning of processes.
Operations of the machines :
15. Monitor and optimize the performance of machines and production lines
16. Collaborate with maintenance to maximize production time
17. Study potential machine improvements and validate them with the right people
Relationships within the company and across departments:
18. Be active part of the global team of process engineers in the different Hitachi Energy units (Sweden, Bulgaria, China)
19. Collaborate with the Quality team to identify, understand and correct quality issues
20. Collaborate with the IT team to understand the plant's digital issues and ensure the development of consistent functionality for the business and operations
21. Collaborate with the planning team to identify production delays and proactively find solutions
22. Work hand in hand with all operators
23. Ensure compliance with HSE standards
Your background/ requirement:
24. Bachelor’s or master’s degree from mechanical, electronic or electrical engineering
25. Min 2 years of experience in energy industry, min. 3 years’ experience in working in similar role
26. Solid understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly) and DFS (Design for Serviceability) principles.
27. Experience conducting FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
28. Experience in working with stakeholder from different technology area: R&D, Quality
29. Experience in, or ability to develop, project management and technical leadership skills.
30. Communication skills (oral and written) and team worker.
31. Analytical skills and experience with planning, conducting and root cause analysis.
32. Experience in working in Agile environment.
33. You are structured in your daily work and your communications Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
34. Experience in working with tools: Word, Excel, Teams SAP, PowerBI
35. Comfortable understanding and using digital tools (database structure, user interface creation, machine and equipment connectivity, HMI configurations, etc.)
