Are you an administrative expert with a passion for sustainable agriculture and extensive experience in European grant projects? For a leading international research institute specializing in organic farming, located in the heart of Brussels, we are looking for a driven administrative project coordinator.
In this role, you will be the administrative backbone of a prestigious Horizon Europe project. While your scientific colleagues focus on research content, you ensure that everything behind the scenes runs flawlessly. You will be the point of contact for partners, monitor the budget, and ensure correct reporting to the European Commission. This is a challenging part-time position (approx. 2.5 to 3 days per week) where your organizational skills can truly shine.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you meet the following criteria:
* Education: you hold a Master’s degree.
* Experience: you have 4 to 5 years of solid experience in the administrative and financial management of projects funded under Horizon 2020 or Horizon Europe.
* Language skills: excellent written and verbal English (C1 level). Knowledge of German (B1) is considered a strong advantage; knowledge of French (B1) is an asset.
* Technical skills: you are able to navigate complex contractual agreements and administrative requirements with ease.
* Soft skills: strong organizational skills, a high level of initiative, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. You are a team player who can also be demanding toward project partners when necessary.
* You are curious, creative, and comfortable working in an intercultural environment.
* Sector Knowledge: an understanding of the key principles and practices of organic agriculture is highly desirable.
What are you going to do?
Your tasks are divided between the coordination of a current project (50%) and support for new applications (10%):
* Project coordination: ensure effective implementation of all project tasks and maintain smooth internal communication.
* Event management: organize project meetings and outreach events.
* Reporting: ensure the timely delivery of milestones, deliverables, and technical reports to the EU’s Research Executive Agency (REA).
* Financial management: manage the overall project budget and collect/verify financial reports from partners to ensure correct submission.
* Application support: coordinate the application process for new projects, ensuring all administrative forms and partner budgets are accurate and compliant with call requirements.
* Grant preparation: assist with Grant agreement preparation for newly acquired projects and help complete specific proposal sections (e.g., communication & dissemination).
