For an upcoming project, we will translate an item bank of social-emotional and behavioural items that are used in assessing certain conditions in children. Target audience: children, who answer questions about themselves, and adults who answer questions about their children.
Estimated word count: 10,100 words from English to Tsonga and Tshivenda.
We will follow the double-translation process and then the translation will be reconciled by a third linguist to create an ideal version that maintains accuracy to the source while being fluent. So we need 3 linguists for each language.
Timeline: probably to start in December.
