With a strong double-digit growth YTD reachnig over the € million turnover, the company is on a highway for structural growth.To sustain and structure this rapid expansion, our client is creating a new Commercial Director position. This strategic role aims to transform a historically entrepreneurial and “hunter-driven” sales culture into a more structured, data-informed, and scalable commercial organization — balancing short-term wins with long-term profitability.As a key member of the Executive Committee, you will collaborate closely with the CEO, Technical Director, and Finance Director to align commercial strategy with operational excellence and financial performance, ensuring sustainable growth across Belgium, with a strategic focus on the Flemish market. Strategic Leadership & Team DevelopmentYour mission will be to set a clear direction, strengthen the sales organization, and empower your team to deliver measurable growth. Define and implement the commercial strategy, aligned with the company’s strategic objectives — balancing revenue expansion with profitability and service quality. Lead, coach, and develop a -person sales team, composed of experienced “hunters” and younger commercial talents, ensuring cohesion and performance through structure, feedback, and empowerment. Act as a key member of the Executive Committee, contributing to company-wide strategic decisions and aligning sales initiatives with operational and financial goals. Establish structured sales processes (CRM, KPIs, reporting) to enhance lead management, contract follow-up, and cross-functional collaboration. Drive cultural change by fostering accountability, analytical rigor, and a growth mindset within a historically intuitive and fast-moving environment. Business Development & Key Account ManagementYou will be responsible for driving national commercial development and ensuring the strength and profitability of their client portfolio. Lead commercial expansion across Belgium, with a strong focus on developing the Flemish market through structured prospecting, partnerships, and account acquisition. Oversee complex sales cycles, including tenders, long-term contracts, and negotiations with large corporate and institutional clients. Ensure retention and profitability of the existing client base, optimizing renewals and implementing strategies to maximize customer lifetime value. Identify new market opportunities. About the Ideal CandidateYou are a strategic yet pragmatic leader — someone who combines commercial acumen with strong people leadership and the ability to execute within a transforming mid-sized organization. Proven experience as Commercial Director or Head of Sales in a BB environment (but not exclusively), ideally in service-based or contract-driven businesses ( vending, facilities, logistics, foodservice, or subscription-based solutions). A natural leader and coach, able to unite diverse personalities, build trust, and lead with both authority and empathy. Strong business sense, you understand P&L dynamics, ROI, and how to balance growth and profitability. A builder and transformer, comfortable structuring processes, introducing tools (CRM, performance KPIs), and leading change within a fast-scaling SME. Recognized for your energy, resilience, and emotional intelligence, enabling you to lead change and maintain engagement through growth phases. ️ Hands-on and credible — you are not afraid to step into key negotiations or resolve critical client issues directly when needed. ️ Fluent in Dutch and French (native-level Dutch or fully bilingual required), with a good command of English. ️ Context & Challenges of the RoleThis position comes at a critical moment in our client’s evolution.The company is scaling from a regional SME to a national player while maintaining its hallmark service quality and entrepreneurial DNA.
