Your mission
As an accountant, you will be part of the central finance team and will be responsible for the accurate processing and reporting of financial data across the group’s various entities. You will contribute to the monthly and quarterly closing processes while gradually developing expertise across a broad range of accounting and reporting topics. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and the Business & Financial Controllers and are expected to actively contribute to continuous improvements and process optimizations.
Responsibilities
Accounting
* Processing purchase and sales invoices, bank transactions, and various journal entries
* Playing a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in accordance with BE GAAP, with knowledge of IFRS being a plus
* Monitoring and analysis of balance sheet positions and movements
Reporting & control
* Prepare periodic reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
* Prepare statutory financial statements and audit files
* Perform reconciliations and balance sheet analyses
Process improvements
* Contribute to the optimization and standardization of financial processes
* Support the implementation of internal controls and accounting policies
Ad hoc support
* Support financial analyses and projects
* Respond to financial queries from the business
Who we are looking for
* You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field, complemented by at least three years of relevant professional experience.
* You have strong technical skills, including excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with SAP or another ERP system is considered an asset, as is a basic knowledge of IFRS.
* You have an interest in or experience with real estate and/or with private equity structures.
* You possess strong analytical skills and work with a high level of accuracy. You are proactive, eager to learn, and perform well in a team environment.
* Your strong communication skills enable you to contribute to smooth collaboration with colleagues.
* You are fluent in both Dutch and English, written as well as spoken.
