We are currently seeking an experienced Databricks Engineer to join a leading banking client based in Brussels on a 12-month contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale data transformation projects within a highly reputable financial institution, leveraging modern data platforms and cloud technologies.

Location: Brussels (Hybrid working model)
Contract Length: 12 months
Rate: €950 per day

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks
Work with large-scale data processing frameworks (Spark)
Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders
Ensure data quality, governance, and performance optimisation
Contribute to the migration and modernisation of data platforms
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
Proficiency in Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala)
Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Solid understanding of data engineering best practices
Experience within financial services is a plus
Strong communication skills in English (French/Dutch is a plus)
Nice to Have:
Experience with Delta Lake
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Exposure to data governance and security frameworks
