Job purpose As Head of Specialty & Respiratory, Medical Affairs, this role manages a team focused on specialty and respiratory care. Responsibilities include providing strategic medical direction for assets, overseeing collaboration with cross-functional teams to align with country priorities, establishing a clear vision and framework for pipeline activities and product development.
Your responsibilities Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of asset-specific medical strategic and operational plans
Lead scientific communication excellence and impactful execution of external engagement plans with Health Care Professionals, patient groups, and medical societies
Collaborate with above-country medical affairs to communicate insights and data gaps efficiently, and ensure data generation plans are consistent and aligned with local asset strategies
Collaborate effectively with Clinical Operations team to optimise decision-making throughout study design, delivery that ultimately improves access and outcomes for patients
Oversee development and management of GSK-supported, collaborative, and investigator-sponsored studies
Provide input into commercial strategy and marketing plans, ensuring technical accuracy, balanced information, and compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and internal procedures
Serve as a member of the country Medical Leadership Team, contributing to the establishment of a medical impact framework to facilitate skills transfer within the medical division
Apply knowledge of the disease area, governance, and GSK policies, assisting in managing compliance issues and risk management practices
Support professional development of team members
Ensure adherence to ethical standards, regulations, and legislation

Why You? Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
MD, PhD, or PharmD with clinical or scientific expertise in specialty, immunology, or respiratory areas
At least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in medical roles
Medical Affairs business acumen
Leadership capabilities – you inspire your team and drive performance
Customer focus, integrity, relationship-building skills, and consensus-building abilities
Collaboration, documentation, and presentation skills across all levels of staff
Fluency in English – written and spoken
Fluency in at least one of the two national languages i.e. French and/or Dutch
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Experience in Respiratory and/or Specialty Care
Experience managing and developing a team to deliver results
Established network or knowledge of local External Experts
Experience setting performance standards and mentoring staff
Ability to identify, hire, and coach talent
Experience assessing Key Decision Makers’ needs and building relationships in a matrixed environment
