You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, with a strong focus on regression testing and API test automation. You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners and DevOps teams to enhance test coverage and accelerate delivery cycles.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute and support integration, regression, and business acceptance testingDesign and implement automated API tests using Java, Rest-Assured, and Cucumber (BDD)Build and maintain test suites for functional, regression, and contract testingIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Define and manage test data strategies, including mocking external dependenciesValidate API responses (status codes, payloads, headers, error handling, performance)Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defectsContribute to Agile ceremonies and promote shift-left testing practicesTranslate business requirements into executable Gherkin scenariosMonitor test coverage, defect trends and automation performanceMentor junior team members and share best practicesRequired ProfileMinimum 5 years of experience in IT testing, with strong focus on API automationProven expertise in Java, Rest-Assured, and CucumberStrong experience in functional, regression, and integration testingSolid understanding of REST APIs, authentication methods (OAuth2, Basic Auth), and error handlingExperience with mocking tools such as Mockito or WireMockProficiency with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Experience with Java 8+ and Spring BootNice to HaveKnowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI and contract testingExperience with Oracle databases and mainframe xjsrcvq integrationsUnderstanding of performance and security testing principles (OWASP)Background in financial services or mortgage/loan processesSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and collaboration abilitiesProactive and detail-oriented mindsetAbility to work in fast-paced Agile environmentsMentorship and knowledge-sharing attitudeEducation & LanguagesMaster's degree or equivalent experienceFluent in English (French and/or Dutch are a plus)If you are passionate about quality engineering and automation and want to contribute to delivering reliable, high-quality software, we encourage you to apply.
