As a Legal Advisor - GDPR & Digitalisation your responsibilities are:
* Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of matters, with a particular focus on digital processes and data-related issues.
* Act as a trusted legal business partner for various internal stakeholders, including innovation-focused teams.
* Support the business in navigating a rapidly evolving digital landscape by helping develop internal policies and ensuring compliance with changing regulations.
* Deliver high-quality legal services by drafting proactive legal advice, offering pragmatic solutions, and supporting the business in implementing compliant processes.
* Monitor legal developments, case law, and doctrine in areas related to privacy, cybersecurity, digital regulation, and innovation.
* Bring expertise in data protection and GDPR, as well as broader European regulations linked to the Digital Decade.
* Advise on the implementation and compliance of legal frameworks such as NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act, Data Act, Data Governance Act, and regulations related to the Internet of Things.
* Contribute to innovative internal projects by ensuring that new technologies and digital initiatives comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
* Support the organisation in managing legal risks and, where relevant, legal disputes related to these matters.
* Help raise internal awareness around compliance, digital regulation, and legal best practices.
A successful Legal Advisor - GDPR & Digitalisation should have:
* Master's degree in Law.
* 1 - 4 years of experience in data protection and exposure to European regulations related to data and digital transformation.
* Good level in French & Dutch
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess legal issues quickly and provide sound, business-oriented solutions.
* Pragmatic, flexible, and solution-driven, while maintaining a strong legal mindset.
* Comfortable working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and advise at different levels of the organisation.
* Genuine interest in technology, legal innovation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
* Eager to keep learning and developing in a fast-changing legal and digital environment
