You'll be the first technical point of contact — and the technical voice — for customers across Latin America who are building tomorrow's connected products on Quectel modules: automotive telematics, smart energy, industrial IoT, connected payments, and more.Because this is a new setup, you won't be slotting into someone else's playbook. You'll define how we review designs, how we work with ANATEL labs, how we support customers, and how we train the next engineers who join the team. You'll work hands-on with hardware, sit across the table from customer engineering teams, and partner with Quectel's global R&D centers to bring solutions home for the LATAM market."Joining a brand-new operation means you're not just doing the work — you're deciding how the work gets done. That's rare, and it's the reason engineers stay."What You'll DoPartner with LATAM customers to understand their products, then design hardware architectures and recommend the right Quectel solutions.Review schematics and PCB layouts in Altium, Cadence, or PADS — and turn your feedback into better, more reliable designs.Get hands-on at the bench: power supply analysis, signal integrity, oscilloscope work, debugging interface and certification issues.Be the trusted technical voice for our LATAM customers — answering tough questions and solving complex problems alongside our global engineering teams.Lead technical discussions with customers and certification labs, including ANATEL homologation activities.Write the application notes, design guidelines, and FAQs that help customers ship faster.Train internal FAE and Sales teams across the region — your expertise will scale across LATAM.Support the project team with BOM preparation for fast, accurate customer quotations.What You BringBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.3–5 years of hardware design or hardware support experience — bonus if you've worked in customer-facing or FAE roles.Solid grasp of hardware fundamentals: CPU, memory, PMU, system interfaces.Strong skills in power supply design, power sequencing, charging, and power consumption analysis.Comfortable with serial interfaces — I2C, SPI, UART, USIM — for integration and debug.Confident with bench tools: power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes.Hands-on with at least one EDA tool (Altium Designer, Cadence, or PADS).Fluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish is a plus.Bonus Points ForExperience designing PCBA end-to-end.Deep knowledge of USB 2.0/3.0, USB hub architecture, USB Type-C.Experience with high-speed interfaces: MIPI DSI/CSI, PCIe, SDIO.RF testing experience across cellular (2G/3G/4G/5G) and Wi-Fi 802.11.Background in PC, mobile, server, or FWA system integration.Prior ANATEL homologation experience.Team leadership or technical mentoring experience.The Tech You'll Work WithQuectel's full product portfolio — cellular (5G/LTE/LPWA), GNSS, smart modules, and antennas.Quectel services — including device certification work for ANATEL and other regional bodies.See it in action — Quectel customer stories from automotive, smart metering, agribusiness, and more.Why You'll Love Working HereFounding-team energy — you're not joining an established office, you're building one.
