We are looking for a Head of Physical Asset Management who is strategic, collaborative, and influential to join our Engineering, Sites & Facilities team based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.
About The Role
You will lead UCB’s global Physical Asset Management (PAM) strategy and ensure its implementation across all UCB‑owned assets worldwide. You will drive decision‑making related to investments, risk management, lifecycle strategy, technical standards, and asset reliability. You are going to shape policies, frameworks, and operating models while orchestrating CAPEX and OPEX ambitions, ensuring compliance, technological excellence, and sustainable performance across the company.
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate with senior executives, site heads, engineering leaders, technical experts, finance teams, procurement partners, and a global network of asset management professionals. You will lead multi‑disciplinary and multi‑site teams, influence decision boards (CAPEX, risk, compliance), and support maintenance and engineering organizations worldwide. You will operate at the interface between strategy, operations, and organizational transformation.
What You Will Do
You will lead the enterprise‑wide physical asset strategy and its operational deployment across all sites.
You will be responsible for enabling risk‑based decision‑making for investments and asset lifecycle management.
You will manage a global, multi‑disciplinary asset management team through change, development, and growth.
You will ensure best‑in‑class technical expertise, standards, and reliability methodologies across the organization.
You will drive excellence in asset information systems, performance monitoring, and Total Cost of Ownership approaches.
You will deliver reliability, risk, compliance, and documentation services while shaping UCB’s future operating model.
Interested?
For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
Engineering degree (industrial or civil), with at least 10 years of experience in technical fields (end to end project management), management of maintenance teams, expertise in reliability and TCO (a previous experience in asset management is mandatory).
Knowledge of LEAN or Six Sigma process management
Proven leadership of multi‑site teams and experience with executive‑level influence, excellent stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex technical topics clearly
Experience in project/program management and in applying lean methodologies.
Full professional proficiency in English and French; willingness to travel up to 20%.
