Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for an HSE Fire Safety Specialist to join its consulting team.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
* Plan, organize, and conduct fire risk assessments in compliance with applicable legislation and the defined schedule
* Ensure follow-up of corrective actions resulting from these assessments
* Provide guidance and advice on fire prevention for Engineering, BelTech, Facilities, and Business projects, and anticipate fire safety requirements (participate in URS and PSSR drafting)
* Manage documentation: collect and archive fire brigade reports, compile building files (material certificates, exemptions)
* Collaborate with periodic inspection and maintenance teams (fire doors, fire detection systems, fire suppression systems, etc.)
* Contribute to updating safety plans: compartmentalization, evacuation routes, fire extinguisher placement
* Support teams during visits from insurers or official bodies (DCRC, Fire Brigade, ANPI, etc.)
* Plan and organize evacuation drills for all buildings
* Draft and review local SOPs related to fire safety
* Establish appropriate “Fire Prevention” KPIs
* Participate in CPPT building inspections to provide fire safety expertise
ABOUT YOU:
* Minimum 10 years of experience in fire prevention in the pharmaceutical industry (or equivalent)
* In-depth knowledge and full command of Belgian and European fire prevention legislation
* Proficiency in various fire risk assessment methodologies
* Strong knowledge and command of Belgian legislation related to Safety, Health, and Environment (Well-being at Work Code)
* Excellent organizational and planning skills
