Customs Team
The Customs team is part of our Operations department. Our Customs Declarants do more than simply handle customs formalities for our clients. They act as true partners, supporting them on all customs related matters.
Your role in the team
As the first Customs Declarant in Belgium, you will play a pivotal role in the launch of the new office. You will combine operational expertise, autonomy, entrepreneurial spirit, and direct impact on local growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customs Operations Management (70%)
Prepare and review customs documentation including invoices, certificates, and licenses.
Submit import, export, and transit declarations through Belgian customs IT systems.
Classify goods in accordance with the Harmonized System and EU Combined Nomenclature.
Manage customs files within relevant port community systems.
Calculate applicable duties, VAT, and other taxes.
Client and Internal Advisory (10%)
Advise and support clients and internal teams on Belgian and EU customs procedures and compliance requirements.
Relations with Authorities and Regulatory Compliance (10%)
Manage relationships with Belgian customs authorities.
Handle customs queries, controls, and potential reassessments.
Monitor regulatory developments in Belgian and EU customs legislation.
Respond to requests from customs authorities.
