Our client, a large public-sector organization operating complex transport and planning systems, is seeking a Functional Analyst Data & Analytics to strengthen its data-driven decision-making capabilities. The role focuses on analysing business needs, translating them into functional requirements, and supporting Agile delivery within a data and analytics context.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze business processes and data-related needs within operational and planning domains.
* Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories.
* Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and data specialists in an Agile Scrum setup.
* Support the lifecycle of data and analytics applications, from analysis through implementation and validation.
* Ensure alignment between business expectations, data solutions, and delivered functionality.
* Participate in testing, acceptance, and continuous improvement of data-driven solutions.
What are we looking for?
* You have a minimum of
5 years of experience
in a similar role such as Functional Analyst or Application Owner.
* You bring hands-on experience working in an
Agile Scrum
environment.
* You have a strong background in functional analysis within data and analytics contexts.
* You hold a
Master's degree
in IT or an equivalent academic field.
* You are fluent in
Dutch
or
French
at C level, with the other language at minimum B2 level.
* You have a
B2 level of English
(spoken and written).
* You're able to work onsite at least
2 days per week

* Experience in large-scale or public-sector environments.
* Affinity with transport, planning, or operational data domains.
