Area Sales Manager Vandewiele

The VANDEWIELE Group is a world leader in the design, construction and integration of high-tech systems for the textile industry.

We are working on the next generation of smart, integrated and interconnected machines, with a close interaction between R&D and production. Vandewiele has a state-of-the-art production system, with our complete automated manufacturing process being realized in-house.

To further strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a Area Sales Engineer

Your role

After a thorough training period in which you will be introduced to our company, business processes and clients, you will be responsible for selling our innovative textile machines and solutions.

1. You will be SPOC for several international geographical regions (worldwide). You keep in touch with our existing customers and get to know their needs and business processes.
2. You will visit our customers and follow up their projects, with the objective of proposing tailor-made solutions, negotiating and concluding sales contracts.
3. A significant part of your time will be spent prospecting and working on new markets abroad.
4. You work with our local agents to gather information and analyse movements in the textile market.
5. You will be in close contact with various internal departments within Vandewiele (R&D, planning, customer service, ...) and you will report directly to the commercial management.

Your profile

6. You have a technical background and hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Sciences or equivalent through experience.
7. Frequent travels to prospects, customers and trade fairs worldwide attract you (20-30% of the time).
8. You combine an affinity for engineering and mechanical engineering with commercial talent. Knowledge of the textile sector is an advantage, but not a must.
9. You have a direct approach and strong perseverance.
10. You like making contacts and dealing with different cultures.
11. You are communicative and can express yourself fluently in both Dutch and English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
