For our Client we are looking for a freelance senior GL Accountant - Head of Accounting. Start 02/01/2025 Lead and manage the end-to-end accounting function, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data. Supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion and compliance. Manage balance sheet reconciliations and review journal entries prepared by the accounting team. Ensure compliance with Belgian accounting standards (BEGAAP) and local tax laws, including VAT and corporate tax filings. Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation and submission of audit schedules and documentation. Drive the SAP S/4HANA accounting module, maintenance, and optimization. Prepare and deliver financial reports, statutory accounts, and tax filings. Provide guidance on complex accounting matters, technical memos, and position papers.
