IES team is growing
, and we are currently looking for a Technical Office Manager
to join an exciting new project in Antwerp.
Responsibilities:
1. Planning and Design:
Reviewing designs:
Construction Technical Engineers analyze project drawings/isometrics and specifications to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes and Project requirements.
Conducting site investigations:
Assess the suitability of the construction site, considering factors like soil conditions, environmental impact, and accessibility, foundation release, steel structures, equipment, piping and insulation monitoring.
Preparing budgets:
Contributes to calculate project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and other resources.
Risk assessment:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
1. Project Execution:
Overseeing construction:
Supervise on-site/workshop activities, ensuring work is done according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
Coordinating with teams:
Collaborate with engineering, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project flow.
Managing resources:
Ensure the timely delivery of work preparation, materials, equipment, and personnel.
Quality control:
Collaborate with quality department in conduct inspections and implement quality control procedures to maintain standards.
Troubleshooting issues:
Identify and resolve technical problems, making necessary adjustments to plans as needed, technical queries, spooling, cutting lists, as built drawings, material traceability, weld history sheet.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of project documentation, progress, changes, and other relevant information.
1. Specialized Tasks:
Specialization:
Specialize in areas like structural engineering or mechanical systems.
Software utilization:
Computer-aided design (CAD) and other software like PDF creator, MS excel to create plans, database and reports.
1. Communication and Collaboration:
Reporting:
regular updates to Site Manager, Project Manager and other stakeholders on project status.
Client interaction:
Interact with clients, addressing their concerns and providing technical solutions.
Team leadership:
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance to subcontractors.
In essence, a Construction Technical Engineer is the technical expert who ensures a construction project is built safely, efficiently, and to the required standards. They act as a bridge between the design phase and the actual construction, managing the technical aspects of the project from start to finish.
Qualifications:
VCA certification
Additional Information:
