Our client, a dynamic player in the pharmaceutical sector, is looking for an Accountant to join their finance team. The candidate will report to the Chief Accountant and work closely with the rest of the accounting team.
Assist with customer invoicing and follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable
Post journal entries and ensure correct classification and coding of all financial transactions
Support the month-end closing process, including bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and accruals
Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records in accordance with company policies
Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for internal and external audits
Contribute to ensuring compliance with accounting standards (BEGAAP, IFRS) and internal control procedures
Safeguard data integrity and confidentiality across all financial reporting and information systems
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
~2–3 years of professional experience in accounting
~ Solid understanding of BEGAAP and IFRS
~ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel (pivot tables, lookup, etc.)
~ Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is highly desirable
