Boeing Brazil – Senior Airplane Systems Integration Engineer (Certification and Safety)
Reporting to the 777X Airplane Systems Integration organization of Boeing Brazil, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.
Position Responsibilities
* Systems integration focal for Certification and Safety projects supporting the entire systems IPT (Integrator Product Team).
* Collaborate with organizations such as Systems, Propulsion, Interiors, Avionics, Structures, Reg Admin (Boeing Certification Office), and ALIT (Aircraft Level Integration Team) to coordinate/communicate technical information, processes, and strategies supporting airplane level certification and safety efforts.
* Flow down direction from ALIT (Aircraft Level Integration Team) following Boeing safety process (based on ARP 4761).
* Promote alignments within internal areas of the company to conduct and conclude certification process (program area, other engineering areas, certification/airworthiness area, project management area, etc).
* Utilize feedback and lessons learned from systems teams to contribute to improvements on product development process.
* Partner with systems IPTs to support them in completing certification and safety activities within the specified program schedule and help resolve issues/roadblocks as they arise.
* Find and understand Boeing processes, FAA & EASA regulations, and certification methods of compliance (Part 21 and Part 25).
* Use requirements management tools when necessary.
* Facilitate various integration meetings (Readiness reviews, ALIT/Reg Admin, Program requests) and host system team meetings for communications and data collection.
* Integrate system level and airplane level subjects when required or necessary.
This position is hybrid
This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
* Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
* Registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor.
* Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience)
* Experience in any airplane systems.
* Experience with ARP 4754 process.
* Experience in design engineering / Engineering Design processes.
* Experience in developing and managing metrics and Design Assurance or Process Assurance.
* Experience with Agile project management techniques.
* Ability to quickly analyze, understand, organize, and communicate complex technical concepts/problems across multiple disciplines.
* Experience in Internal Technical Management Information Systems (DCCS, LCS, ECC, MBC, Fireview, ECSLIB, REDARS, ETAC, SharePoint, JIRA, Gitlab).
* Preferred certification and/or Engineering Change Approval training; if not, expected to undergo training.
* Desired knowledge and experience working with ARP 4761, DO-160, FAA/EASA/ANAC regulation (Part 21 and Part 25).
* Ability to act as a liaison and reference in the work scope to integrate the areas.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
