Freelance DevOps and Cloud Engineer with Kubernetes - Long Term - Hybrid
We are seeking a DevOps & Cloud Engineer to support a large-scale transformation programme focused on modernising infrastructure, enabling cloud adoption, and implementing Kubernetes-based platform engineering practices.
This role will drive the migration from legacy environments to cloud-native, automated, and containerised platforms, improving scalability, reliability, security, and delivery velocity.
Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor).
Build and manage infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Establish secure landing zones, governance models, and networking foundations.
Optimize cloud cost, performance, and resilience.
Design, deploy, and operate production Kubernetes clusters.
Implement container orchestration, autoscaling, and workload resilience.
Manage ingress, networking, RBAC, and secrets management.
Support multi-cluster, hybrid, or multi-region deployments.
Troubleshoot performance and stability issues.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
Enable GitOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Improve developer experience through self-service platform capabilities.
Develop reusable IaC modules using Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
