International Account Manager

Build international markets. From strategy to signed deals and long term relationships.
Do you want to drive commercial growth beyond the Benelux and France? In this role, you decide where we grow, how we enter new markets, and which partnerships make that growth sustainable. You turn market opportunities into structured plans and convert them into pilots, rollouts, and long-term commercial agreements with retailers, brands, and partners across Europe.
Key responsibilities
As Business Development Manager International Growth, you take full ownership of international expansion.
1) Market selection & opportunity definition
* Select and prioritize target markets (top-down and bottom-up) based on retail structure, brand activation potential, channel dynamics, logistics, competition, and pricing.
* Build a clear country playbook per market including target retailers, priority brands and categories, partners, and go-to-market approach.
* Monitor trends in in-store activation, retail media, digital signage, and lease or rental models and translate them into actionable propositions for retailers and brands.
2) New business & partner development
* Prospect and acquire:
* Retailers (direct): structural placements and leasing/rental rollouts.
* Brands & agencies: repeatable activation campaigns and commercial frameworks.
* Local partners: distributors, service partners, and integrators to enable scalable deployment and service coverage, aligned with the Sales & Marketing Manager.
* Negotiate commercial terms (pricing, margins, SLA/service, exclusivity, minimum volumes, forecasting, revenue share where applicable).
3) Deal shaping & closing
* Lead pilots end-to-end: scope, KPIs, planning, evaluation, and conversion into rollout.
* Drive contracting in close collaboration with internal stakeholders (legal/finance/operations).
What we’re looking for (must-haves)
* 5+ years in business development/sales in an international B2B environment.
* Proven ability to open new markets and close multi-stakeholder deals (retailers, brands, partners).
* Confident communicator, able to present and negotiate complex value propositions.
* Customer-driven: you connect customer needs to the right offer and channel.
* Languages: fluent in English and Dutch; German is a strong advantage.
* Willing to travel regularly across Europe.
* Adaptable across cultures and stakeholder types;
* Team player.
Strong plus
* Experience in retail or FMCG ecosystems (trade marketing, field marketing, retail media, agencies).
* Knowledge of (refrigerated) retail equipment, in-store activation, digital signage, or connected hardware/software.
* Experience working with distributors/integrators and partner-led go-to-market models.
