ELECTRONIC DESIGN ENGINEER - KORTRIJK (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION We are currently recruiting for a skilled Electronics Design Engineer with a strong focus on PCB design to join an engineering team located in Kortrijk. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of PCB development, from schematic capture and layout through to prototyping, testing, and production support. You will design and optimize multi-layer PCBs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability, applying best practices in signal integrity, power distribution, EMI/EMC, and thermal management. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help translate system requirements into robust hardware solutions and ensure successful integration into final products. This position also involves collaborating with manufacturing partners, supporting DFM/DFA requirements, and troubleshooting issues during prototyping and production. It is well-suited to an engineer who enjoys hands-on design work and solving practical engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electronic circuits and create detailed schematics. Perform PCB layout design, including multi-layer boards, using industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, OrCAD). Select components and create/maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs). Ensure designs meet signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal requirements. Apply best practices for EMI/EMC compliance and high-speed design. Generate manufacturing outputs (Gerber files, drill files, assembly drawings). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineers. Support prototype assembly, testing, debugging, and validation. Work with PCB manufacturers and assembly vendors to resolve design and production issues. Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in PCB design and electronic circuit development. Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar. Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design. Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations. Experience with multi-layer PCB layouts and high-speed design constraints.
