For one of our clients in the energy and electrical infrastructure management sector, we are looking for a Design Tools Specialist Service, responsible for the support, optimization, and evolution of design tools used by engineering teams, as well as the associated methodology, in the context of the energy transition and the introduction of BIM.
Your responsibilities
Management and optimization of design tools
Based on user requests and needs, adapt and optimize design tools (configuration, macros, modifications).
Provide support to users within project teams.
Handle complex issues: analysis, coordination with vendor support, and identification of alternative solutions.
Design methodology and standards
Contribute to the definition of design methodology.
Maintain administrator documentation and methodological standards.
Contribute to the evolution of processes related to design tools.
Training and user support
Organize training sessions and workshops on design software.
Identify training needs of users and direct colleagues.
Coach direct colleagues and provide day-to-day support.
Monitoring tools and technological innovations
Monitor, evaluate, and validate new software versions in collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers.
Carry out technological watch on software and hardware solutions (including BIM).
Participate in the validation of equipment used by designers (e.g., laptops).
Your profile
Degree (associate's/bachelor's) or equivalent experience:
* in IT, with an interest in CAD software, or
* in a technical field (civil engineering, electrical engineering, automation) with an interest in IT.
Proficiency or strong motivation to master design tools (MicroStation, OpenUtilities Substation, ProjectWise).
Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and VBA/macros.
Fluency in French or Dutch, good knowledge of the second national language, and a good level of English.
Accuracy, creativity, and attention to detail.
Organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to solve complex problems.
Team spirit, customer orientation, and proactivity.
Good communication skills and assertiveness.
Flexibility and ability to adapt to priorities.
Curiosity and interest in new technologies (BIM, etc.).
