Lead the charge in securing tomorrow-driving cyber resilience from strategy to execution.

R&D Partners is seeking a Cyber Security Lead to join our client's team in Belgium. This is a dynamic role combining leadership and hands-on execution in a fast-paced cyber security environment. We are seeking an experienced professional to manage cyber security compliance at our site. This individual will lead projects, handle technical tasks, and adapt to the ever-changing cyber security landscape.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership and Coordination:

* Oversee cyber security compliance across site infrastructure and systems, maintaining KPI targets while adapting to evolving threats.
* Build and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of cyber-related remediation activities, including proactive lifecycle management and obsolescence planning.
* Lead remediation projects and improvement initiatives, balancing planned work with reactive incidents and requests.
* Act as a liaison between site operations and corporate Digital and Cyber Security teams.
* Support Digital and Operational Excellence teams in integrating security into new systems from inception.
* Collaborate with management, project teams, suppliers, and partners to align cyber security with business needs.

Hands-On Technical Work:

* Perform and plan maintenance tasks, system patching, and remediation to address infrastructure obsolescence or cyber security non-compliance.
* Manage system hardening, anti-virus updates, and monitoring tool deployments based on threat intelligence reports.
* Handle Active Directory non-compliance using tools like Alsid or similar AD monitoring tools.
* Respond to cyber security incidents and alerts, reprioritizing tasks as necessary.
* Work independently with limited supervision, taking ownership of compliance results.

Compliance Activities:

* Review and report on KPI status weekly, escalating urgent issues immediately.
* Identify and analyze cyber security compliance gaps, assess risks, and prioritize remediation.
* Develop and implement solutions to address non-compliance issues.
* Collaborate with site and corporate teams on remediation activities, ensuring rapid response to critical vulnerabilities.
* Maintain patched, protected, monitored, and hardened systems.

Portfolio Management Using Jira:

* Create and maintain an inventory of obsolete assets and applications with defined remediation plans.
* Establish lifecycle management approaches, ensuring proactive actions before obsolescence dates.
* Reassess and reprioritize remediation backlogs based on emerging threats and business impact.
* Develop procedures and work instructions incorporating lessons learned from incident responses.
* Define consistent stakeholder reporting methods, including rapid communication protocols for urgent matters.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Technical Skills:

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7/10, Server 2016/2019/2022); MCSE certification is a plus.
* Good understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, remote administration, Active Directory, client-server architecture).
* Experience with firewalls, cyber security tools, antivirus, patching systems, and hardening tools (e.g., BIT9, FireEye, SentinelOne, Symantec, SCCM).
* Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and asset management systems is a plus.
* Experience with lifecycle management and obsolescence planning.
* Understanding of threat intelligence and vulnerability management.
* Familiarity with GMP, GAMP5, and CFR21 Part11 is a plus.

Experience and Approach:

* Proven track record managing small- to medium-sized Digital projects, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated industries.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
* Experience building and maintaining remediation portfolios.
* Agile mindset with the ability to pivot quickly when critical security issues arise.
* Comfortable working independently and taking ownership, especially during urgent situations.

Communication and Working Style:

* Proficient communicator in English and Dutch; French is a bonus.
* Effective collaboration with technical teams, management, and external partners.
* Hands-on attitude with initiative to get things done.
* Strong organizational skills for managing multiple activities and timelines.
* Calm under pressure when handling urgent security matters.
