We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to expand our service offerings within the Chemicals sector in Western Europe. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and extensive organizational support.
About the role
How you will contribute
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan to identify top regional/industry opportunities and expand business to new accounts within the Chemicals vertical.
2. Generate effective leads and opportunities from the territory plan.
3. Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers at all levels.
4. Understand the customer's business strategically, operationally, and financially.
5. Navigate the customer's buying process and identify all influences to understand their requirements.
6. Qualify and quantify potential growth opportunities.
7. Leverage company resources (solution experts, industry experts, operations, executive support) to assist in developing accounts.
8. Maintain contacts with international Chemicals customers and schedule regular visits.
9. Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of current and future opportunities, quantifying the number of opportunities, value, and managing to win.
10. Own the commercial relationship and contract negotiations with customers for all new business wins.
11. Partner with colleagues in other regions on broader opportunities for selected customers.
12. Represent the company/chemical vertical in front of international customers as well as in conferences and panels.
What you will bring
13. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
14. 10+ years of experience in Business Development within the chemical sector in the supply chain or logistics industry.
15. Proven track record of generating profitable revenue growth and retaining existing customers.
16. Formal sales training or demonstrated experience in sales training tactics and processes.
17. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
18. Ability to cope with time pressure and dynamic surroundings.
19. Excellent verbal, written, and visual/presentation communication skills in Polish and English.
20. Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player with a high level of energy.
21. Flexibility to travel 30-50% of the time across the globe to our operations to perform audits on-site.
22. Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
