Position: Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead
We are looking for an experienced developer to take ownership of our technical direction, lead development efforts, and help scale both our platform and our team.
Responsibilities
* Technical Leadership: Own architectural decisions across the platform, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
* Platform Ownership: Oversee the development of our web platform, ensuring a strong user experience and reliable functionality.
* Stakeholder management: Work closely with clients, suppliers, and founders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
* System Design: Design and evolveour backendsystems,APIs, and integrations(including flight and rail providers),andforcustomer interactions.
* Code Quality & Reviews:Set and enforce high engineering standards through data quality frameworks and in-depth (code) reviews.
* Collaboration with External Partners: Act as the main technical counterpart for external development teams, validating deliverables and guiding implementation.
* Team Mentorship: Support and mentor junior developers and external contributors, helping them grow technically and professionally.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of professional software development experience (startup or product environment is a strong plus).
* Solid backend experience (preferably Python) and API design in production environments.
* Proven experience with system architecture and scaling applications(Dockeror Kubernetes).
* Experience leading projects or mentoring other developers.
* Strong understanding of modern development workflows, including testing, code reviews, version control, CI/CD, and agile delivery.
* Ability to work independently and take full ownership of technical decisions.
* Experience with GDSandNDC content integration is a plus.
* Strong communication skills; fluency in English. Dutch or French is a plus.
* Interest in sustainability and travel is a bonus, not a requirement.
