As Interface & Market Engineer, you will be involved in the technical design, the compiling of market and supplier’s information and the commercial proposal preparation of solar and storage solutions.

Your work location: regularly on your Equans site, as well as at our customers’ locations throughout Belgium
Your Equans base: Nivelles
Responsibilities
* support the design and develop electrical and mechanical layouts for photovoltaic and storage (behind the meter) power plants
* review preliminary conceptual designs up to detailed engineering calculations, including energy yield assessments and system sizing
* build partnerships with equipment suppliers and service providers to develop competitive energy solutions
* set up procurement strategies by specifying technical requirements for equipment and materials
* collaborate with engineering teams, sales teams, suppliers, and subcontractors during the pre-sales phase
* ensure all designs comply with codes, standards, and client requirements
* assist in troubleshooting technical issues during installation and commissioning
* support continuous improvement by researching and integrating new technologies and best practices
You will work with the sales team during the pre-sales stage to develop and propose solar and storage designs, and with the engineering team to ensure integrated energy generation systems are designed and implemented efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related technical field
* experience in photovoltaic, storage, or renewable energy engineering, preferably within an EPC or OEM environment
* strong understanding of PV and/or storage system components, electrical systems, and relevant standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.)
* proficiency in engineering software tools (AutoCAD, PVSyst, Virtocad, …)
* analytical and problem-solving mindset
* collaborative way of working in cross-functional teams
* strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* willingness to travel to project sites
* fluency in Dutch, French, and English; additional languages are a plus
