Due to internal changes within our Polymer team, there is a new open position for a commercial support North African region. To ensure the continued development and follow-up of this important market, we are looking for a new colleague to strengthen our team.
Purpose of the role
In this role, you will take the lead in managing RFQs and providing day-to-day support to our commercial team, ensuring faster customer response times and optimized sales processes. You will play a vital role in maintaining client data accuracy, improving credit control, and ensuring seamless communication with customers and internal stakeholders. Your contribution will directly impact customer satisfaction and sales performance in the North African region.
Key responsibilities
* RFQ Management
Proactively manage, update, and process RFQs from customers, while benchmarking prices with relevant sources to ensure competitive and timely offers.
* Commercial Support to Traders & Region Manager
Provide accurate and timely support to customers regarding product details, pricing, order status, and delivery when other team members are unavailable.
Address customer concerns or escalate complex issues as needed. Process sales templates with attention to detail and in line with internal procedures.
* Client Database Maintenance
Maintain and regularly update customer information to reflect closed and pending transactions, and ensure an accurate overview of customer exposure.
* Credit Control Support
Follow up on overdue payments and share relevant accounting information with the team.
Your profile
* Solid understanding of international trade, RFQ processes, and logistics
* Good knowledge of the market: products, suppliers, customers, and competitors
* Familiarity with compliance, finance, and accounting procedures
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English & French
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email tools, and reporting systems
* Detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers and large datasets
* Strong organizational and planning skills
* A proactive, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset
* Willingness to occasionally travel internationally
