For a Novalix insourcing team based in a pharmaceutical company, we are seeking a highly skilled molecular biology scientist to lead the design and development of cutting-edge molecular tools. This role focuses on novel method development, data analysis, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on RNA and DNA technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in molecular biology techniques and a solid understanding of iPSC culture and neural differentiation.
In details, key responsibilities are:
* Design plasmids, shRNAs, and CRISPR constructs.
* Register and manage molecular tools using Benchling software.
* Develop and optimize assays for microRNA, mRNA, and DNA detection (RT-qPCR, qPCR, ddPCR, single-cell RNAseq, and bulk RNAseq technologies).
* Perform sample preparation and quality control for RNA sequencing workflows.
* Drive the development of novel molecular biology methods.
* Analyze complex datasets and generate comprehensive reports.
* Maintain and differentiate induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into neural cell types.
* Support experimental workflows involving neural differentiation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies.
* Oversee the technical work and plan lab activities of research associates.
Profile
* PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or related field, preferentially with experience in life science industry.
* Extensive hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, stem cell culture, and genetic engineering.
* Strong proficiency in RNA/DNA analysis and sequencing workflows.
* Experience in bioinformatics tools for data analysis.
* Hands-on experience with iPSC culture and neural differentiation protocols.
* Familiarity with automation and high-throughput workflows.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a collaborative research environment.
