The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. /p pThe NCIA provides a wide range of services, including: /p ul liCyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats. /li liCommand and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations. /li liSatellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces. /li liElectronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks. /li liInformation Management: The NCIA manages NATO's information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers. /li /ul h3The program /h3 pThe NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V. /p pTo provide these critical services, the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high‑performance engaged workforce. The workforce strategically consists of three major categories: NATO International Civilians (NIC), Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC). The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce. /p h3Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS) /h3 h3Role ID – C /h3 h3Role Duties And Responsibilities /h3 pWe are looking for a functional subject matter expert (SME) with extensive experience with the LOGFAS software suite, including practical military experience of Movement and Transportation planning and execution, and Logistics Reporting business processes. /p pThe LOGFAS SME will typically work at NCIA in Mons, Belgium or at a customer's location in Germany. At the customer's location, the SME will provide on‑site mentoring on the use of LOGFAS, primarily in Germany but may also be required to perform work at related NATO locations. The SME is expected to work up to half of the time at NCIA in Mons, Belgium, and the other half in Germany or related NATO locations. All on‑site work outside NCIA in Mons, Belgium will be considered as Temporary Duty (TDY) and reimbursed according to NATO regulations. /p ul liProvide on‑site and off‑site on‑the‑job mentoring for users of LOGFAS. /li liParticipate in daily status update meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and other meetings, in person or via electronic means. /li liParticipate in requirements elicitation, analysis and design discussions. /li liSupport bug fixing and stability improvements. /li liCreate and run test cases. /li liCreate and update documentation. /li liSupport users in the acceptance testing. /li liSupport the operations and maintenance of LOGFAS. /li liInvestigate the best ways to solve problems, including documenting and presenting pros and cons to the team. /li /ul h3Essential Skills, Experience And Certifications /h3 ul liExpert knowledge, as well as a working knowledge of and practical experience with the complete LOGFAS software suite. /li liPractical military experience of the Movement and Transportation planning and execution, and Logistics Reporting business processes and the LOGFAS software to cover the tasks list under these duties. /li liExpert knowledge of the governing NATO Logistics policy, Allied doctrine and ACO directives and procedures as well as extensive operational experience in NATO logistic processes necessary to address end‑user requirements. /li liGood knowledge of the NATO's Comprehensive Approach described in the Comprehensive Operations Planning Directive (COPD), deep understanding of NATO operations planning and related processes, information exchange requirements and interoperability standards to promote collaboration and information sharing using LOGFAS. /li liExperience with testing software using technologies and methods to support the full software lifecycle. /li liProven ability to integrate and work in a multinational team. /li /ul h3Language /h3 ul liThe ability to conduct all work in fluent business English. /li /ul h3Working Location /h3 ul liMons, Belgium /li /ul h3Working Policy /h3 ul liOnsite /li /ul h3Travel /h3 ul liSome travel to other NATO sites may be required. /li /ul h3Security Clearance /h3 ul liValid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance. /li /ul pWe never know what new opportunities might be just over the horizon.
