Our client is seeking an experienced Lab/IT Systems Consultant to support both laboratory and manufacturing operations at a fast-growing site. In this hybrid role, you will act as the bridge between Operations Technology (OT), IT infrastructure, and Quality/Compliance. Approximately 30% of your time will focus on hands-on IT troubleshooting (VLAN, switches, gateways, access issues), while 70% will be dedicated to IT quality activities, including deviations, change control, and SOP/validation documentation.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in regulated environments and enjoys working at the intersection of systems engineering, compliance, and operations.
Responsibilities
* Manage OT and lab systems (e.g., Sartorius, Nucleo Counters, ELLA, SpectraMax), including troubleshooting and user access.
* Provide IT/desktop support for GxP applications, servers, network connections, and integrated systems.
* Perform systems administration activities such as backups, security monitoring, virtual server management, and Windows systems oversight.
* Lead IT compliance tasks including change controls, deviations, SOP creation, and validation/qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
* Collaborate with vendors, Engineering, global IT, and business stakeholders to implement new solutions and support ongoing projects.
Must-Have Qualifications
* Experience supporting lab or OT systems within manufacturing or laboratory environments.
* Strong IT troubleshooting skills (VLAN, switches, gateways, server access, Windows administration).
* Hands-on experience with GMP/GxP systems, validation, and compliance documentation.
* Ability to write SOPs, validation documents, and manage change control/deviation processes.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
