A major player in the energy and mobility sector, based in Brussels, is looking for a Senior Project Engineer eMobility (EV) to support the rollout of its electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the Benelux region. Reporting to the Project Manager Benelux eMobility & Solarization, this new position has been created to strengthen the team in response to the growing demand for sustainable and future-proof mobility solutions
As Senior Project Engineer Benelux eMobility (EV), some of your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinate the design of new sites for fast charging options in coordination with Business Development teams
* Ensure overall planning and communication to the stakeholders and suppliers and track execution status
* Prepare specifications and execute tender processes in collaboration with the procurement teams
* Follow-up external engineering companies (for the delivery of drawings, permits and specifications), grid operators (for grid studies, offers and connection contracts) and other involved contractors (for transfo's, civil and electrical works, storage warehouse, …)
* Guarantee follow-up on construction and safety coordination of the construction yard
* Provide necessary aftercare: legal inspections, charger commissioning, site branding, secure asset update and as built documentation
* Drive process improvements and pursue maximum availability of chargers together with the colleagues of the eMobility team
* Contribute to development projects - such as battery systems, new charging technologies, migrations, payment terminal implementations etc. - typically piloted first and then scaled up, some of which will be coordinated independently by the Project Engineer
* Realization of the long term eMobility plan and follow-up of the related CAPEX budget
About you:
· Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or Civil Engineering (Electromechanics, Energy Management, Electrical Engineering, or similar)
· Relevant experience in project management and/or the eMobility industry is considered a strong asset
· Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Power BI.
· Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is essential for effective communication across diverse stakeholder groups throughout Benelux.
· Possession of a valid driving licence B allows you to travel between sites as needed during different project phases.
· A proactive approach combined with hands-on problem-solving abilities enables you to take ownership of project delivery while adapting quickly within an evolving market landscape.
· Exceptional organisational skills allow you to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently without compromising attention to detail or deadlines.
· Resilience under pressure helps you remain composed when facing tight timelines or unexpected challenges during project execution.
· Outstanding interpersonal communication skills empower you to align both internal teams and external partners towards shared objectives smoothly.
