We are looking for a highly skilled backend programmer with expertise in AI-driven applications. This role will be crucial in building and optimizing backend infrastructures that support AI implementations, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and seamless integration with AI-driven workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable backend services supporting AI-driven applications and pipelines.
2. Design and implement APIs for AI model inference, training, and data processing.
3. Collaborate with AI and hardware engineers to integrate AI functionalities into custom silicon solutions.
4. Work with databases and storage solutions to manage and process large-scale AI datasets efficiently.
5. Ensure security, performance, and reliability in AI-based backend architectures.
6. Deploy and manage AI models in cloud and on-premise environments, optimizing for performance and cost.
7. Stay up to date with advancements in AI software engineering and backend technologies to bring innovative solutions into Openchip’s AI strategy.
Qualifications:
1. BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in backend development, preferably in AI-powered systems.
2. Strong proficiency in Python with experience in backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Flask. Other programming languages like Java, Node.js, Go, are a plus.
3. Hands-on experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data storage solutions.
4. Knowledge of AI model deployment and integration with backend services.
5. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
6. Familiarity with message queuing and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
7. Experience working in a hardware/software co-design environment is highly desirable.
8. Fluent in English is a must; knowledge of additional European languages (German, Dutch, Spanish, French, or Italian) is a plus.
