Information Systems Architect (ISA) x2 – Brussels
1. Nature of the main tasks
* Architecture and design of information systems
* Review of the architecture of existing systems
* Design and development of component architecture and building blocks
* Analysis of the integration of different information systems
* Data analysis and data modelling
* Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
* Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
* Production of software architecture documents
* Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
* Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting
* Design, modify and test technical architecture
* Build and integrate information systems to meet the organisation needs
* Provide supervision and guidance to development teams
* Continually research the current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed
* Inform various stakeholders about any issues with the current technical solutions being implemented
* Assess the business impact that certain technical choices may have
* Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs and budgets

* Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns

* Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design

* Ability to give technical presentations

4. Service Delivery
The services will be carried out on a full-time basis at the Commission’s premises in Brussels (on site / Hybrid mode).
Equipment will be provided by the Commission.
