To strengthen the Corporate Accounting team, they are looking for a Junior Accountant. As a Junior Accountant, you will support the Senior Manager Corporate Accounting & Consolidation in the preparation of periodic and annual financial reporting. You will contribute to the accounting of the group’s holding and financing entities and ensure the accurate processing of transactions, reconciliations and reports. You prepare journal entries, trial balances and account reconciliations, assist with interim and annual financial statements and maintain contact with auditors. You actively contribute to process improvements and internal controls and assist in optimising and documenting financial processes. With the support of experienced colleagues and internal training, you will quickly grow into your role. For this position as Junior Accountant, we are looking for a candidate who: Has obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree, complemented by an initial relevant experience in accounting, controlling or reporting. Has an excellent command of English, complemented by a strong knowledge of Dutch and/or French, which is a clear asset in this role. Works confidently with Excel and has an interest in financial IT tools, knowledge of JD Edwards or SAP S/4HANA is an advantage. Has an initial understanding of Belgian or Luxembourg accounting principles, basic knowledge of IFRS is an additional asset. Has an interest in digitalisation and enjoys working with modern financial systems.
