Job Description
As an HR Legal Counsel & Social Affairs, your responsibilities are:
* Shape HR legal strategy in a multinational organization with global impact.
* Lead employee relations and labor law initiatives in a dynamic company.
* Provide legal counsel on individual HR cases including terminations, contract changes, and M&A-related employment matters.
* Lead working groups with social partners on topics such as working schedules, policies, and employment regulations.
* Coordinate HR legal projects across multiple countries, including updates to handbooks and employment conditions.
* Advise managers and HR partners on working time regimes and labor law compliance.
* Monitor labor law developments and ensure internal policy alignment, with a focus on GDPR.
* Manage social bodies including Works Council, Prevention Committee, and European Works Council.
The Successful Applicant
A successful HR Legal Counsel & Social Affairs should have:
* Minimum 10 years of experience in labor law and/or employee relations in Belgium.
* Master's degree in Law, ideally with a specialization in employment law.
* Strong business acumen and passion for HR.
* Ability to work autonomously and make strategic decisions.
* Skilled in conflict management, crisis handling, and stakeholder influence.
* Fluent in English, French, and Dutch.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Capable of designing innovative legal solutions tailored to business needs.
