Product Developer – Textile
Brussels (Etterbeek), Belgium · Full-time employee · Bambaw — part of Brolutions
About us
Bambaw helps people swap everyday products for durable, sustainable alternatives — from zero-waste essentials to a super comfy home textile range (Bambaw Cozy) built for better comfort, rest, and sleep. Bambaw is part of Brolutions, a growing house of mission-driven consumer brands — which means you won't just work on one product line, but also contribute to textile development for our other brands. We're a team of 25+ based in Brussels and remote, building premium products that lead on sustainability and quality.
Your mission
Own the technical and quality development of our home textile range, from brief through post-launch. You'll set product and quality standards, lead clear and continuous communication with our suppliers to deliver production-ready specifications and approvals, and safeguard long-term product performance. Day to day, this is hands-on management of a growing range — building SKUs and clear spec sheets, owning quality and supplier topics.
What you'll do
* Be our home textile expert — own the category's new-product roadmap and quality, and feed into the wider brand roadmap with the Brand Manager.
* Own home textile product development from brief to launch — driving the new-product roadmap across the range.
* Build and structure the SKU range (sizes, colors, sets) and write clear spec sheets / tech packs that suppliers can execute.
* Be the single point of contact with our textile suppliers, coordinating tech packs, materials, dyeing, finishing, and sampling rounds.
* Own textile quality: define pre-launch test plans, review inspections and returns, and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions with suppliers.
* Pre-evaluate new fabrics and constructions with labs and suppliers, and turn findings into clear recommendations for the roadmap.
* Keep specifications, test learnings, and quality standards documented and reusable in our Product Development Wiki.
What we're looking for
* The instinct to dig: when a product underperforms, you want to know why — you form a hypothesis, arrange the test, question the supplier, and keep going until it's solved.
* Comfortable with numbers and Excel, and able to build an SKU range and write clear spec sheets suppliers can execute — or the analytical ability and drive to get there fast.
* Enough technical affinity to get into how fabrics are made and tested, and the curiosity to go deeper. Prior textile or product-development experience is a strong plus.
* Autonomous, structured, and detail-driven; fluent English; based in or able to relocate to Brussels.
* Backgrounds we welcome: textile or materials, product development or engineering, or a quantitative / business track with a genuine interest in the technical side.
* Nice to have: experience with bamboo viscose or other sustainable bedding, EU textile compliance and labelling.
What we offer
* A real ownership role in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
* A central role in building the brand — you'll help us differentiate by leading with quality and innovative, sustainable fabrics.
* A small, collaborative team in Brussels (Etterbeek) with real autonomy and ownership
* Competitive salary, bonus, meal voucher, team events ...
