We are looking for a VAT (Experienced) Senior with a passion for Consumer Business advisory to strengthen our indirect tax team in Belgium. You work closely together with a manager/director on VAT advisory for consumer business clients (e.g. consumer products, retail, travel and hospitality), and provide general VAT support.
You are responsible for preparing client service delivery according to the Deloitte quality standards, and are eager to learn on the job
You work alongside specialists from the Tax, Consulting and Legal teams, to bring outstanding and multidisciplinary value to our clients.
Let’s talk about you
1. You have a degree in a business-related discipline such as law or economics, or a comparable background through experience
2. You are excited not only about VAT in general but also about the VAT aspects of typical Consumer Business topics such as promotional collaborations & sales promotions, vouchers, cash registers, etc.
3. You have gained at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a VAT focused role as tax advisor, lawyer or inhouse specialist, where you demonstrated technical abilities and business skills
4. You are a team player with strong communication and networking skills
5. You have an open, creative, flexible and entrepreneurial mindset
6. You have a good working knowledge of Dutch and/or French and of English
7. You are eager to learn more about the broader consumer industry and its indirect tax challenges & opportunities
