Description
Bio Blue is developing Bio Blue Ghent, a flagship greenfield biomethane project in the Port of Ghent and one of the most ambitious circular energy developments in Europe.
see: www.bioblue.be
The project will turn large volumes of organic waste into grid-quality biomethane and valuable circular co-products, creating a robust industrial platform for renewable gas, waste valorisation, and regional decarbonisation.
Built on the proven operational know-how of Bio Blue’s existing biomethane facility in Ieper, this project combines industrial scale, proven technology, strong logistics, and circular valorisation. Located in one of Belgium’s most strategic port areas, the facility will contribute to the decarbonisation of industry, heat, and transport while providing a sustainable outlet for organic waste streams.
To successfully deliver the next phase of this project, Bio Blue is looking for a Senior Project Manager Execution: an experienced, technically strong project manager who will take full ownership of the project execution, both on site and within the project organisation.
As Senior Project Manager Execution, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, coordination, and follow-up of the project execution, from construction preparation through construction, commissioning, start-up, and handover.
You will translate the project strategy, planning, contractual framework, and technical requirements into a structured and controlled execution process. This role is designed for someone who takes ownership of the execution phase: someone who brings structure, drives progress, manages technical and organisational interfaces, and ensures that contractors deliver in line with scope, planning, budget, quality, and HSE requirements.
Within the project organisation, you will report to the Project & Plant Management and ensure clear escalation, progress reporting, and decision preparation towards the Project Committee and Steering Committee.

* Translate the master schedule into practical execution plans, priorities, work packages, and follow-up actions
* Monitor execution performance across scope, schedule, budget, quality, HSE, risks, changes, and contractor delivery
* Identify risks, bottlenecks, and decision points early, propose solutions, and escalate clearly where needed
* Lead project coordination meetings and provide structured reporting to Project & Plant Management
