Indirect Procurement Category Buyer Opportunity
The Indirect Procurement Category Buyer will play a pivotal role in overseeing indirect operations spend, which encompasses all sourcing, category management, and consumption management across various indirect operations spend categories.
Key responsibilities include managing complex sourcing projects through a disciplined category management process to implement suitable solutions that support the organization. The role involves managing regional spend and implementing or designing new (sub)category strategies.
This position is an individual contributor with no direct reports and will report to the Indirect Procurement Manager. The position is located at our headquarters, offering a hybrid working model as an option.
This role is part of a journey to build out Indirect Procurement, providing an excellent opportunity to be part of this transformation towards value creation.
* Continuously perform in-depth spend and market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities regionally and/or globally to drive incremental value to the business via savings and improved supplier efficiencies.
* Support in the development and execution of multi-year savings plans.
* Drive cost reduction opportunities and activities through savings workshops, negotiations, RFP, alternate sourcing, and supplier consolidation.
* Prepare, assist in, and/or lead negotiation with suppliers.
* Oversee the implementation of new suppliers, including managing their performance through a structured SRM process.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure necessary buy-in and effective change management.
* Develop actionable recommendations based on a clear articulation of options and tradeoffs.
* Help design, challenge, and implement robust and sustainable sourcing strategies, developing relationships that extract maximum value from the current and potential supplier base.
Succeeding in this Role / Your Profile
* Bachelor/Master Degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or Engineering).
* Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant Indirect Procurement experience.
* Relevant experience with diverse indirect spend categories across operations & facilities.
* Comfortable reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong analytical and project management skills.
* Able to work in a matrix and multicultural environment.
* Able to think strategically.
* Proficient in English, other European languages are a plus.
