Technical Specialist (TES) – EU Environment

Brussels, Belgium Customer: European External Action Service (EEAS)

Are you a hands-on IT support professional with strong technical troubleshooting skills and a customer-oriented mindset? We are currently looking for several Technical Specialists (TES) to support a high-profile European institution environment within the EEAS. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting workstation environments, peripherals, cabling, and end-user applications while ensuring a high-quality service delivery experience.

Your Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software incidents Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, peripherals, and cabling Support workstation environments (Windows 10 and above) Execute patching and temporary fixes to maintain security and operational continuity Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, IP addresses, and asset information Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify technical issues Work closely with end users and customer stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of incidents Contribute to incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience in workstation and peripheral support/administration In-depth knowledge of Windows 10 and newer environments Good understanding of: Incident Management Problem Management Change Management Configuration Management Familiarity with patch management and IPAM systems Excellent communication and customer service skills Able to work independently and in a structured manner Accurate, reliable, and service-oriented mindset

Language Requirements

English: C1 minimum French: C1 minimum (Both written and spoken communication are mandatory for this assignment.)

Nice to Have Certifications

The following certifications are considered an asset: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Windows 10 MCSA Google IT Support Professional Certificate Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) IT Helpdesk Professional certification Advanced Windows Troubleshooting for IT Call Centre Associate Certified Certified Network Cabling Design Professional (CNSDP)
