We are currently seeking a Freelance HR Rewards / Flexible Benefits Consultant to support the ongoing management, optimisation, and rollout of a Flex Income Plan and Flexible Benefits framework within a large international organisation in the pharmaceutical sector.
This role is highly hands-on and operational, combining benefits administration, payroll coordination, stakeholder management, and employee-facing communication. It is not a purely strategic position.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end management of a Flex Income Plan / Flexible Benefits offering
* Governance and continuous improvement of benefits structures and processes
* Support rollout and optimisation of salary sacrifice schemes (including mobility benefits / Federal Mobility Budget)
* Act as primary point of contact for Flexible Benefits queries from employees, HR, Payroll, and Finance
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Legal) and external vendors
* Ensure accurate payroll alignment and resolution of benefits-related payroll issues
* Produce reporting on participation, uptake, and benefit utilisation trends
* Identify opportunities to enhance and expand the benefits offering
* Develop and maintain employee communications (FAQs, guides, intranet content, webinars, Q&A sessions)
* Support change management and employee adoption of benefits tools and platforms
Requirements
* Proven experience in Flexible Benefits / Cafeteria Plans / Rewards Operations
* Strong understanding of payroll processes and salary sacrifice schemes
* Experience working with HR systems such as SD Worx and/or eBlox (strong advantage)
* Comfortable working across HR, Finance, Payroll, and external providers
* Strong communication skills with experience producing employee-facing materials
* Experience in HR operations, benefits administration, or rewards delivery roles
* Fluent in English and French (Dutch is a plus)
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple operational streams
This assignment is best suited to someone who enjoys working at the intersection of HR operations, payroll, and employee experience, and who is comfortable being both the SME and the operational go-to person for a live benefits programme
