Teach Specialised English
Learn Lab is looking for experienced teachers to teach English for Professional Purposes. We are a fully remote, online platform. Learn Lab connects specialist teachers with committed business professionals needing to expand their English within highly niche fields. For this reason, we are specifically looking for teachers who have taught Financial English, Legal English, Medical English, Business English and Aviation English. We are especially interested in teachers who have work experience outside of teaching in the Finance, Law, Healthcare, Business and Aviation industries. Over time, we plan to expand this offer into other professions and industries. We are not just another online education platform - we are actively pursuing teachers with professional experience in and knowledge of other industries.

Premium Teaching, Premium Rates
At Learn Lab, we expect the best from our teachersand we reward you for it. As experienced educators, we have seen first-hand the deterioration of the industry and the erosion of respect for teachers, alongside industry-wide stagnation of wages. We know that professional pride comes with professional pay. For that reason, we ask our teachers to charge a minimum of £30 per lesson. At the same time, we believe teachers know their own value best, that's why we allow you to set your own rates.
You might be wondering how we sustain the business. Learn Lab applies a small platform fee on top of your chosen rate, paid by the student. You always receive your full hourly rate, exactly as you set itno deductions, no hidden fees, no race to the bottom. We invest that margin into your student acquisition and technology.
*Essential Requirements*
Undergraduate degree.
Native-level proficiency of English (IELTS 8.5).
CELTA or Cert TESOL (TEFL Certificate is not accepted).
Minimum Two Years Of Teaching Experience.
Desirable Criteria
DELTA or Dip TESOL.
MA TESOL / Applied Linguistics.
Cert IBET.
Professional experience in Finance, Law, Medical, Aviation and Business.
Experience teaching online.
Experience with one-to-one classes.
IELTS examiner status (active or lapsed)
